Kent Free Library offers FREE (basic) notary services.
We have professional, state-licensed notaries on staff to certify your signature on documents. Call the Information Desk at 330.673.4414 ext. 3 to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis, depending on staff availability.
Our notaries provide basic services to individuals, not to businesses or organizations. We can accept simple documents, like a transfer of an auto title, but cannot notarize complicated documents such as real estate transactions, wills, documents over 10 pages long, or documents not in English.
Individuals must appear in person and present valid photo identification, such as a current driver’s license, state-issued ID, US Passport, US Military ID, or US Permanent Resident Card (“Green Card”). The document must be signed in front of the Notary, not ahead of time. Notaries are unable to provide legal advice or assist in the preparation of legal forms.
